Ahead of another testing Premier League clash on Saturday, this time away at in-form Brentford, Andoni Iraola really needed his team to come up with the goods.
Thankfully, despite a late defensive wobble, they delivered. Once again, Liverpool had to make do without Dominik Szoboszlai , who made the trip to Austria with his teammates, and Iraola has made it clear that Szoboszlai may not feature against Brentford as well.
But while that is obviously a blow for the Reds, the performance of Trey Nyoni against LASK suggested that they do not need to worry about their midfield at the Gtech.
