Chelsea will have to break the bank for Alex Scott but already have a better midfielder
Story updated
The story in brief
34-second readChelsea have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Alex Scott ahead of the January transfer window. All the noise coming out of the Vitality Stadium suggested that Scott would not be going anywhere until the end of the season.
However, it emerged on Tuesday that Bournemouth could now be willing to sell the midfielder in the winter transfer window. That is great news for Chelsea , who have made Scott their top target.
He will not come cheap, though. It has been claimed that Chelsea could be forced to pay £130m to sign Scott in January. The 23-year-old is a good player, but it is a ridiculous amount of money, especially when the Blues already have two midfielders better than him.
