Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool approach for Real Madrid star

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed it: Liverpool made an approach for a Real Madrid star. It could escalate from here.Liverpool got quite a lot of business done in the summer but there's certainly a sense that they didn't get everything they wanted.

No midfielder arrived, for instance, despite a clear need to sign one - but we're hopeful that will get fixed in 2027.Mohamed Salah left without a replacement, too, as Liverpool failed to land a right-winger.

That's something they'll now battle for the remainder of the campaign thanks to a surplus of left-wing options.Someone will essentially play out of position every week.
