A late equaliser from Elisabeth Terland earned Manchester United a well-earned 1-1 draw that ended Manchester City's perfect start to the WSL campaign. City looked set for victory as Khadija Shaw finally broke the deadlock with a little over 20 minutes to go.
However, it was Shaw who inadvertently set up Terland for the equaliser in the last minute of normal time. Both teams came into the contest in good spirits.
City had made a perfect start in their opening six WSL games, while United had been starting to click under Eva Olid. It was the hosts who appeared more likely to find the opener following a tense first half.
