Earlier this week, FC Bayern Munich faced 1. FC Magdeburg in the DFB Cup and ultimately prevailed 6–1. True to form, the record-holding champions and record-holding cup winners thus advanced to the round of 16.
After Bayern was finally able to celebrate the title in Berlin again in the summer of 2026 following a prolonged dry spell, the team naturally aims to build on that success this season.
The ambition to win the title here is definitely there, and there’s no question that Bayern has the best individual talent and is therefore the favorite.
