Inter is set to face Fiorentina in a Serie A match at San Siro, with Cristian Chivu explaining the team's lineup choices. Ivan Provedel will make his debut as the second-choice keeper, replacing Josep Martinez. Provedel's child was born recently, and he has been supporting Martinez well. Chivu stated that Provedel deserves to start due to his hard work, according to Football Italia.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan will start in central midfield alongside Nicolò Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu. Mkhitaryan had a crucial role in Inter's win over Shakhtar Donetsk, providing an assist despite being down to ten men. Chivu believes Mkhitaryan deserves to start as he has added something to the team in his recent appearances. The coach emphasized that he doesn't consider external factors when making decisions.

The match against Fiorentina is expected to be challenging, as they are a well-trained team that has underperformed recently. Inter needs a win to catch Lazio at the top of the table after Lazio's win over Parma. Chivu warned that Fiorentina can cause difficulties in various ways and that Inter must give their all.
