Barcelona midfielder Brian Farinas has had to bide his time this season after being promoted to Hansi Flick’s first team for the 2026-27 season. Farinas has yet to play a single minute even though Flick has admitted he deserves some game time for the Catalan giants.
There’s been talk this week that Farinas could be deployed as an emergency full-back at the weekend against Alaves due to the club’s injury problems, and Flick has dropped a strong hint that he will play.
He’s been training with us since the start of pre-season and has been doing a fantastic job. Flick told a pre-match press conference.
