Manchester United have made enquiries about Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez as they assess potential reinforcements for their midfield, according to journalist Matteo Moretto on Radio MARCA.

The Premier League giants have also explored the possibility of signing Atletico Madrid’s Pablo Barrios, although neither situation has progressed to formal negotiations. Moretto reported that Manchester United are looking for a midfielder with qualities similar to those of Fermin and Barrios.

The Red Devils have made initial checks on both players, but the interest remains at an exploratory stage rather than representing an active transfer pursuit.
