From the source

On Saturday night, FC Bayern faced Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga’s top match. The record champions wanted to win the showdown and pull three points ahead.

However, BVB arrived in Munich with a solid, compact defense and few goals conceded. In addition, the most recent head-to-head matches—not only in Dortmund but also at the Allianz Arena—had mostly been close contests.

It was an intense, at times frenzied game that ended 2–2, leaving the match without a winner. Bayern entered the match with a few changes; Joshua Kimmich made his return and started right away.
