Liverpool lost to Fenerbahce on Wednesday, following a loss to Arsenal on Sunday, causing concern among fans about the team's direction under Andoni Iraola. Alexander Isak scored his first Champions League goal for the Reds, but it was not enough to secure a win. Isak came off the bench and nodded home Cody Gakpo's cross. The team threw away the lead within the final 20 minutes.
Despite the consecutive defeats, Isak believes the Reds are still in a good position to bounce back, citing some better results earlier in the campaign. He told LFCTV that the team is not in a 'chaos situation'. Isak thinks that winning the next game will put them back in a really good position. The next game is against Crystal Palace.
Isak was one of the few Liverpool players who could hold his head high after the game, having scored his first Champions League goal with the Reds. He was happy to score but felt the loss took away from the moment. Isak had shown clinical instincts to beat Ederson earlier in the game. The wait for his first Champions League goal had been long.

One of the few positives to come out of Liverpool’s dismal defeat against Fenerbahce on Wednesday was that it yielded another goal for Alexander Isak. Isak nodded home Cody Gakpo’s cross just minutes after coming off the bench to finally open his Champions League account for the Reds. Sadly for supporters, Liverpool unravelled against Fenerbahce soon after, throwing away the lead that Isak had given them to lose the game within the final 20 minutes. Coming on the back of a frustrating loss to Arsenal on Sunday, fans would be within their rights to be worried about the direction of travel under Andoni Iraola.
