From the source

Malo Gusto and Chelsea had a disappointing night at Anfield after losing to Liverpool on penalties in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. Chelsea initially took the lead in the first half after Morgan Rogers scored from the spot.

However, Wesley Fofana gave away a penalty shortly after, which Cody Gakpo managed to convert. Fofana really had a game to forget after missing the decisive spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out, with Liverpool winning 6-5.

All in all, it was a bad night for him and his compatriot Gusto. Gusto did not get a chance to take a penalty. The full-back was substituted in the second half, much to the delight of Chelsea’s travelling supporters.
