The story in brief

37-second read

(Photo by Alexandra BEIER / AFP via Getty Images) | AFP via Getty Images At 33, Harry Kane remains in top form. Bayern Munich’s top earner outscored everyone else in the 2025/26 season, he is one of the frontrunners to win the Ballon d’Or and yeah, he is still playing pretty well.

Bayern are therefore quite determined to keep him, to the extent of breaking their own contract rules . And, according to Florian Plettenberg (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ), they are also willing to keep him on the same high wages: Harry Kane will continue to earn around €25m gross per year with the new deal.

The Englishman is expected to sign until 2029. Of course, one cannot expect a guy who played the kind of 2025/26 season Kane did to take a pay cut.
