Michael Owen hits the nail on the head as he delivers his verdict on Liverpool’s Lewis Koumas

If anybody knows anything about performing on the biggest stage as a youngster, it’s Michael Owen. During his playing days, Owen was one of the best teenagers to have played the game, including ripping up the Premier League in the colours of Liverpool.

On Sunday, for Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester City , Koumas won a lot of plaudits for his performance, with Owen telling Premier League Productions that he was ‘one of the most threatening forward players’ on the pitch.

That’s high praise from Owen because while Liverpool had injury problems , you still had the likes of Bradley Barcola and Florian Wirtz on the pitch for the home side.
