FC Bayern is set to host 1. FC Magdeburg in the DFB Cup second round on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Allianz Arena, with kickoff at 8:45 p.m. The match will be broadcast on free-to-air TV by ARD on "Das Erste". Aaron Danks will lead the team on the bench, as Vincent Kompany remains sidelined for several more weeks. Bayern secured a 3-1 victory over SC Freiburg in their previous Bundesliga match.

There is uncertainty regarding Manuel Neuer's participation due to a mild tendon irritation in his foot. Coach Aaron Danks is undecided about Neuer's availability, stating it depends on how long the irritation takes to subside. If Neuer is sidelined, Jonas Urbig is likely to replace him, having recently performed well in a similar situation during the away win in Freiburg.

The match can also be watched for free via livestream on the ARD Mediathek, allowing fans to view the game on various devices. Magdeburg, despite being the underdog, is coming off a 6-1 victory over Karlsruher SC and is in fifth place with 16 points after nine matchdays, making them a potentially tricky opponent for Bayern.
