Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs watching a young striker who is excelling in La Liga and for his national side. It is clear from the first eight league games of the season that Spurs’ biggest weakness is a lack of a reliable striker who can find the back of the net with regularity.

That is expected to be Tottenham’s priority to address in January, with the Lilywhites reportedly keeping an eye on several centre-forwards across Europe. Vangelis Pavlidis, Roberto Fernandez, Igor Matanovic and Jean-Philippe Mateta are thought to be part of Spurs’ shortlist, and a new report claims that a 22-year-old has now been added to the list.

The 1.86-meter target man is said to have caught the attention of many scouts from England, with Tottenham, Newcastle, Sunderland and Brentford all checking on his progress lately.
