The French defender has struggled with injuries for the last few years and will need some more time to improve his conditioning before he can actually make an impact for Real Madrid on the field, though.
It should be noted that Mendy did not make Real Madrid’s list for this edition of the UEFA Champions League, so he will not be able to play in the European competition.
