Matty Cash's latest showing in Aston Villa's 2-1 win over Manchester City was brilliant yet again. There had been concern around his position in the side after the Villans signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 28-year-old, who is on loan with an option to buy, is regarded as a better defensive option.

However, he was ruled out for up to three weeks just before the clash with Enzo Maresca's side.

That may have been a fatal issue, but it is unlikely that Cash will be axed anytime soon by Unai Emery after his latest display.
