Celtic will look to get their first Europa League points after failing to win any of their opening three matches when they host Besiktas in their matchday four encounter on Thursday at Celtic Park.
Celtic manager Martin O’Neill faces critical selection headaches ahead of the crucial European clash at Parkhead, with key players definitively ruled out. Right-back Alistair Johnston remains sidelined after suffering a hamstring setback during his recent domestic return against Hibernian, meaning he will not feature until after the international break.
In attack, South Korean winger Yang Hyun-jun is still recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in September, while Portuguese star Jota is ineligible because he was not registered in the club’s official Europa League squad following a long-term knee injury.
