Dara Jikiemi made his debut and Finn Inglethorpe scored a hat-trick as Liverpool U18s netted seven second-half goals to beat Sunderland 7-0. After last weekend’s 6-3 defeat at Man United, Liverpool U18s bounced back brilliantly, thrashing Sunderland with seven goals in 38 minutes after the break.
While the day did end in demolition, Liverpool had to work hard in the opening period, as both teams hit the crossbar midway through the first half.
Once the teams came back out for the second half, though, the result was only ever going one way in front of the watching Virgil van Dijk.
