FC Bayern is currently going through an exceptionally difficult period. Serious injuries, health issues, and personal setbacks are posing major challenges for the German record champions.
Nevertheless, the team remains undefeated this season. For former Bundesliga coach Steffen Baumgart, the team’s unity is particularly remarkable. Even in the 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund, the Munich team had to cope with further setbacks.
Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry were injured in the first half, and later Michael Olise also had to be substituted due to injury. Added to this are the absences of Jamal Musiala and Luis Díaz, as well as head coach Vincent Kompany’s absence due to illness.
