In November, who will Germany’s starter be at the attacking midfield spot?

The story in brief

32-second read

Jürgen Klopp has plenty of decisions to make before Germany’s November camp, but the attacking midfield position might be one of the most interesting. Florian Wirtz has already shown what he can bring in the role, including his excellent performance against Serbia, while Jamal Musiala remains an obvious candidate when he is available.

Wirtz and Musiala could even compete directly for the No. 10 role, or Klopp could find a way to get both players onto the pitch together.

Serge Gnabry is another option, particularly given his experience at the international level and his ability to operate in multiple attacking positions. Lennart Karl also presents an intriguing wildcard option after earning his opportunity with the senior team.
