From the source

Chelsea and Liverpool have reportedly made contact over a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi, as per TEAMtalk. After being impressed by the 27-year-old’s performances for Real Sociedad, the Gunners decided to purchase him by paying a big fee last year.

The Spaniard enjoyed a promising start at the Emirates Stadium but struggled to continue the momentum during the climax stage of last campaign. Following Bruno Guimaraes’ arrival last summer, Zubimendi has found himself on the periphery this season.

Mikel Arteta has even preferred to use Myles Lewis-Skelly ahead of the former Real Sociedad star. Now, TEAMtalk claim that Zubimendi is open to leaving Arsenal to turn the situation around, and Arteta is reluctantly ready to sanction his departure, with the midfielder likely to be allowed to leave on loan.
