The story in brief
6-second readLiverpool are preparing to offer Alexis Mac Allister a contract extension amid transfer interest from Manchester City, as per a recent report.
From the source
The 27-year-old arrived at Anfield from Brighton and Hove Albion on a five-year contract in June 2023 for a reported initial fee of around £35 million.
Doubts over his future at the Reds surfaced this summer after the Merseyside club did not initiate talks of a contract renewal, with the Argentine star’s current deal expiring in about 20 months.
While addressing the press ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash against Atletico in September, Mac Allister admitted being 'very sad' over the Reds' decision not to offer him a new contract.
