There was a Real Madrid legend in the crowd for win over Villarreal

An iconic figure at La Liga giants Real Madrid was spotted in attendance at the club’s post-international break return to action on Saturday.

And he was treated to an eventual hard-fought Blancos victory… José Mourinho’s troops were back on the pitch for the first time in three weeks yesterday evening, welcoming Villarreal to Spain’s capital for a league clash.

When all was said and done, the hosts emerged on the right side of a 1-0 result, thanking a first goal in Blancos colours on the part of summer signing Yan Diomandé.
