Since Emi Martinez’s horrific collision with Jarrad Branthwaite in the Everton game two weeks ago, the focus was been on whether he’s ok, and then on how Mike Penders will do as his replacement.
There hasn’t been much information about how soon the Argentine could be back, until today’s report from the Athletic. Simon Johnson says that the goalkeeper is planning to “make an earlier than planned return,” after surgery on his broken jaw.
