From the source

Liverpool fans were frustrated at a hapless refereeing performance and Arsenal’s theatrics, as the Reds lost 1-0 at Anfield. Andoni Iraola’s side produced some good football for chunks of Sunday’s game, but came up against a Gunners team that loves the defensive side of things – eventually leading to no shots on goal for the Reds.

After falling behind to Kai Havertz’s goal, Liverpool were superb albeit for the final finish. They ran out of steam in the end, and Arsenal used their champions’ nous to get over the line, not to mention being helped enormously by referee Andy Madley buying their theatrics.

These Liverpool supporters reacted to the officiating and a spirited defeat on social media and in This Is Anfield‘s comments. Andy Madley roundly booed as he walks off.
