From the source

Bayern Munich have reportedly been dealt a setback in their pursuit of highly rated 16-year-old Manchester United prodigy JJ Gabriel. According to Sky Germany, Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement in principle with the youngster and are now looking to finalise the transfer.

However, nothing has been signed yet, with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona all still hoping for a late change of heart. Bayern have remained in contact with the player's representatives throughout the process, but as things stand, they are considered outsiders in the race to sign him.

One reason for this is the overall financial package Real Madrid are able to offer, which includes a significant salary as well as a substantial signing-on bonus and agent fees.
