From the source

Lothar Matthäus has come out strongly in defense of Michael Olise, firmly rejecting suggestions that Bayern Munich should fine the 24-year-old French winger following his sending-off during Champions League action against Viking FK.

While acknowledging that Olise’s red card in Norway proved costly in the 3-3 draw, the Bayern legend argued that missing the upcoming European fixture against Arsenal is punishment enough for a player driven purely by playing the game.

“Why would I think about fining Olise [following his red card], as it has been suggested? His biggest punishment is that he won’t be allowed to play against Arsenal.
