The story in brief
31-second readWith each passing day, Tottenham’s decision to sell Will Lankshear looks worse and worse, and the striker shows no signs of slowing down. Lankshear joined Middlesbrough for £20m, including add-ons and at the time, some may have been forgiven for thinking it was a very good deal for Spurs .
After all, the 21-year-old centre-forward had only made six first-team appearances for the Lilywhites, and he only managed 11 goals during his loan spell at Oxford United last season – a good haul but perhaps not a Premier League-ready haul.
However, many who were aware of Lankshear’s potential felt that the North Londoners may be making a mistake, and they are now being proven right.
