Lisandro Martinez hung Michael Carrick and Manchester United out to dry against Chelsea, and his manager had the perfect reaction to his sending off. Another big defeat for Manchester United came on Saturday in London at Stamford Bridge, losing 2-0 to Xabi Alonso’s side.
It was a much more even clash than the result indicates. United were brilliant in the first half. But an early Morgan Rogers goal in the second-half followed by Lisandro Martinez getting himself a red card, meant Chelsea strolled to a pretty comfortable victory.
As Martinez made his way down the tunnel, he was sent a strong message by Michael Carrick. United were playing really well against Chelsea, but poor defending gave Chelsea a 1-0 lead, and then Lisandro Martinez inexplicably got himself sent off.
