Milan and Salzburg will face each other in Europe again after their two meetings in the 2022-23 edition of the Champions League. It was a 1-1 draw in Austria as Alexis Saelemaekers responded to Noah Okafor’s opener, while Olivier Giroud scored a brace in a 4-0 rout back at San Siro .
It will be a reunion with Strahinja Pavlovic for Die Roten Bullen too. The Serbian centre-back played for them from 2022 to 2024 and actually featured against Milan before signing for the Rossoneri, so he will feel very familiar with the environment.
