Five Arsenal players have been included in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the final Nations League games against Croatia and Spain. Ezri Konsa, Eberechi Eze and Myles Lewis-Skelly all retain their places, and there is an obvious recall for Declan Rice, who withdrew the last camp due to load management.
There is a less obvious but nice recall for Ben White, who is set for his first involvement with the national team since March. The right-back looked set for a spot in the World Cup squad but a season-ending injury against West Ham ruled him out for the summer.
His performances this campaign, though, have absolutely warranted him a call-up. Of course, Bukayo Saka is injured, so he’s not there. But neither is his most obvious replacement.
