Newcastle United fan/writer reaction to Coventry 4 Newcastle 1

Coventry 4 Newcastle 1 – Monday 12 October 2026 8pm Newcastle United fan/writer reaction from some of our regular contributors on The Mag. Nat Seaton: ‘An at times comical display especially in defence resulted in defeat against a team that had only score one goal before tonight.

The penalty after just 6 mins was a sign of how things were going to play out tonight, poor decisions all night… A game to forget against a poor team that put four past us (from just 6 on target!).

Best not to put into words how I’m feeling as I always try to be positive… Let’s hope for better all round on Saturday.’ Matt Busby said to Joe Harvey…: ‘Well that was another nightmare on Monday!
