Varela's impressive start to the season has drawn interest from several Serie A clubs. Inter's sporting director Dario Baccin recently watched him play at the Brianteo. Varela joined Monza from Benfica for €3.5 million and has a contract until June 2030. His market value has risen to around €20m.
Monza are determined to retain Varela during the January transfer window. However, they may consider a sale next summer if interest from top Italian clubs grows. Juventus are still assessing their attacking options and Varela's youth and ability make him an interesting prospect.
