From the source

Atletico Madrid chief Enrique Cerezo says that Sunday’s match against Barcelona will be a “special game” for Julian Alvarez after the Catalans spent the summer pursuing the striker.

Los Colchoneros refused to sell Alvarez to Barcelona, despite the Argentine saying publicly he wanted a move. He ended up staying at the club and has since apologized to fans.

Cerezo feels the game on Sunday will mean a lot to Alvarez, telling Cadena Ser: “It’s a very special game for him, but well, I think he’s already apologized, he’s already said he made a mistake, and now what he has to do is play and score goals for Atlético de Madrid.
