Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, according to a report from Football Talk citing TEAMtalk. Guirassy has had a productive season, scoring eight goals and two assists in 13 appearances. He has been guiding Dortmund to a title charge in the Bundesliga. The 30-year-old has a contract until 2028 and is valued at around £27m by Transfermarkt.
Guirassy's productivity was first showcased during the 2023/24 campaign while playing for Stuttgart, where he made 33 goal contributions across all competitions. After impressing, he was purchased by Dortmund a couple of years ago and continued to display his goal-scoring ability. In his debut campaign at Dortmund, Guirassy scored 38 goals and registered six assists in 50 appearances.
Manchester United sent scouts to watch Guirassy play against Bayern Munich, along with other players, in a 2-2 draw. The club is looking to strengthen their striker options, as Benjamin Sesko has struggled with fitness and Joshua Zirkzee has not performed well in the Premier League. Guirassy is considered to be at the prime stage of his career and could be a valuable acquisition for Man Utd.
