From the source

It turned out to be a trouble-free evening for Tottenham Hotspur as they beat 10-man Crystal Palace 2-0 at home on Saturday evening. Crystal Palace paid the price dearly after Jean-Philippe Mateta was sent off for a late challenge on Micky van de Ven.

Spurs punished the visitors’ frailties from set-pieces in the 25th minute when Archie Gray scored a free header off Mohammed Kudus’ corner. The Lilywhites upped the tempo and continued dominating possession after taking the lead.

Crystal Palace had a glorious chance to equalise in the second half, but Dwight McNeil’s shot was blocked well by Dominic Solanke. Jan Paul van Hecke doubled the advantage in the 73rd minute to wrap up another big three points for the hosts, who moved to the top half of the table.
