From the source

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has questioned Cristiano Ronaldo’s ability to maintain the standards he established at Real Madrid. Speaking to ESPN Netherlands, the Dutchman suggested that Real Madrid made the right decision when they sold Ronaldo to Juventus in 2018.

“Since Real Madrid sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, it was effectively over,” he said. “In fact, Real Madrid’s greatest strength is that they always know the perfect time to part ways with a player.

Ronaldo left Madrid after nine seasons, having scored 450 goals in 438 appearances and winning four Champions League titles with the club. His departure marked the end of one of the most successful individual spells in European football history.
