AC Milan suffered their first Serie A defeat of the season on Wednesday evening, losing 4-2 to Bologna at San Siro. After falling behind to Samuel Mbangula in the eighth minute following an error in possession, the Rossoneri responded impressively through Alphadjo Cisse, who scored twice in the space of 13 minutes to put Ruben Amorim’s side ahead at half-time.
Milan , however, endured a disastrous second half, conceding twice within two minutes. Davide Bartesaghi’s unfortunate own goal levelled the score before Mbangula restored Bologna’s lead.
Despite making changes in an attempt to turn things around, the Rossoneri struggled to create clear-cut chances. Francesco Camarda came close with a header that narrowly missed the target, but Bologna sealed the victory in the 86th minute as Mbangula completed his hat-trick.
