Roberto De Zerbi has given a clear response to the glowing praise that Tottenham star Mateus Fernandes has been getting from the media following his performance against Chelsea.
The clash against Chelsea was the first time that Fernandes started as a number six this season, which is the role where he made his name at West Ham last term.
It was also the first time we saw the Portuguese star start together in central midfield alongside Sandro Tonali, which many Spurs fans expected to be De Zerbi’s prefered pairing.
