The biggest news from the training ahead of Chelsea was the return of Kobbie Mainoo, who will undoubtedly be a big boost to Michael Carrick.
Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford remain absent, but Carrick needs to inject some excitement into the state of affairs at Carrington. Bruno Fernandes’ return to the XI should help, but Carrick has also looked to the academy to inject some fresh blood into the team.
