From the source

Former Rangers player Kyle Hutton is to stand trial in 2028 accused of killing a woman in a road collision. Hutton is said to have been "unfit to drive through alcohol or drugs" when he allegedly struck Victoria Cairns, 40, in Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, on 2 November 2024.

The 35-year-old denies the charges, which include going at excessive speed for the conditions at the time and not seeing the pedestrian. Cairns died from her injuries in hospital four days later.

Hutton faces a charge of causing death by dangerous driving, and other charges of failing to co-operate with breath and drug tests and not providing two specimens of breath to determine his "ability to drive".
