Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta can afford to heavily rotate his lineup against Slavia Prague, according to Pain in the Arsenal, as Slavia are currently without a win in 18 European matches. Slavia's last Champions League victory was against Steaua București in 2007. Arteta is expected to make significant changes to his starting lineup. The team is returning to the same venue to face the same opposition on the same date as their previous encounter.
Pain in the Arsenal suggests five players that Arteta should rotate into his starting lineup, including Max Dowman, Cristhian Mosquera, Mikel Merino, Martín Zubimendi, and Viktor Gyökeres. Dowman is recommended to start on the right-wing in the absence of Bukayo Saka. Mosquera is suggested to be given a chance due to Ezri Konsa and Gabriel having seen a huge amount of minutes. Merino scored twice during Arsenal's previous victory over Slavia Prague.
The suggested changes are partly due to the current form and injury status of some players. Martín Zubimendi has been below other players in the pecking order but deserves a start, potentially allowing Declan Rice to sit out. Viktor Gyökeres badly needs a goal and has a history of scoring in the Champions League, having bagged 11 goals across the last two seasons.

Returning to the same venue to the face the same opposition on exactly the same date, the 1,044 Gooners making the trip to the Czech capital will be hoping for the same scoreline. Well, Jindřich Trpišovský's team are currently without a win in 18 European matches, their most-recent Champions League victory coming against Steaua București in 2007.
