From the source
Burnley have sacked head coach Nicky Hayen. The Belgian took charge in the summer but has overseen just one win from their club's first 12 Championship fixtures and the Clarets were beaten 4-1 at Lincoln on Saturday.
Hayen apologised to the Burnley supporters for the performance after the game. In pre-season, Burnley had been among the favourites for promotion and to make an immediate return to the Premier League but are third-bottom and in the Championship relegation zone.
They have the joint-worst defensive record in the league. "Burnley Football Club has dismissed head coach Nicky Hayen with immediate effect. The Board has taken the decision following a disappointing start to the Championship season."
