Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that Luca Williams-Barnett’s Premier League debut could have come sooner than it did, in Tottenham’s clash against Chelsea. Tottenham’s Luca Williams-Barnett made his Premier League debut off the bench last time out against Crystal Palace, replacing Mathys Tel in the 88th minute.
In that brief spell, the 18-year-old did enough to get the Tottenham crowd off their feet with a lovely mazy run, leaving a couple of Palace defenders behind before putting a lovely cross into the box for Mohammed Kudus to tap in, but the Ghana international failed to convert.
Roberto De Zerbi was impressed by Williams-Barnett’s brief cameo and described the teenager as a big, big talent. Speaking about his debut, he said: “I thought it was the right moment for him.
