Bournemouth and Aston Villa, the two Premier League teams, meet in their next round of EFL Cup fixtures on Wednesday at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth is expected to heavily rotate their starting lineup for tonight’s Carabao Cup tie following their massive weekend victory over Manchester United.
Manager Marco Rose will rest several key figures while navigating a few definitive squad absences. Midfielder Alex Tóth is ruled out for several weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in European competition, while Alex Scott and Julián Araujo both remain sidelined with lingering muscle issues.
On a positive note, Junior Kroupi recently made his return from a foot injury off the bench over the weekend; however, Rose has explicitly confirmed that the forward will not start tonight in order to safely manage his match minutes.
