From the source

Mikel Arteta praised his players’ character after Arsenal withstood sustained Liverpool pressure to claim their first league win at Anfield since 2012. Kai Havertz’s 16th-minute strike proved decisive, although the Gunners endured a frantic spell before half-time as the hosts squandered chances, struck the bar and were repeatedly thwarted by desperate defending.

Arsenal regained some composure after the break, with Christos Tzolis denied a second by Alisson Becker, before digging in to secure a 1-0 victory without conceding a shot on target.

The result took the Gunners three points clear at the top, leaving Arteta delighted with the response to Tuesday’s embarrassing League Cup exit at Fleetwood Town.
