Unexpected Andoni Iraola decision is now starting to pay off after Liverpool vs LASK
Story updated
The story in brief
30-second readLiverpool supporters could have been forgiven for feeling a little low heading into Wednesday’s Champions League clash with LASK, with the weekend battering from Manchester City still fresh in the memory.
To add to the feeling of pessimism just beginning to form around Andoni Iraola, a much changed XI was named against the Austrian side, which again showcased a clear lack of depth within the Liverpool squad.
One of those brought into the team was Rio Ngumoha , who once again started on the right of the Reds’ attack. Iraola’s decision to transform the youngster into a two-sided winger has not been to everyone’s liking so far this season.
