The story in brief
31-second readManchester United have confirmed a heartfelt tribute ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano Stadium. The Premier League giants will face their LaLiga counterparts following a disappointing 1-1 draw against 10-man Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The result left the Red Devils in 13th place in the league table after six games, only one of which they have won. Michael Carrick’s team have also exited the EFL Cup this season following a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion in the third round.
However, United have enjoyed a good record in Europe so far, having picked up a victory in their previous Champions League game.
