Gennaro Gattuso expressed pride that many Lazio fans attended the away match against Sassuolo, with numbers estimated between 5,000 to 10,000. He acknowledged their support, stating it makes him proud and that the team needs to be ready to make them happy. The match is taking place at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia. Lazio fans typically boycott home games but attend away fixtures in large numbers.

Gattuso praised Lazio's former player Alberto Aquilani, with whom he was teammates at Milan, describing him as intelligent and positive in his coaching role. He noted that Sassuolo, under Aquilani, deserved more points than they currently have. Gattuso expressed his confidence in Aquilani's coaching abilities, predicting a successful career for him.

Gattuso downplayed the idea of replicating his playing style, joking that having 11 players like him would not lead to success. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, unity, and humility, stating that if Lazio maintains these qualities, they can achieve success, but if they become too ambitious or lose their unity, they will struggle.
